JULY
KidOasis
NEWSLETTER
Summer is here at last! I hope everyone has a fun and safe Holiday weekend
coming up! Normally I close the day after fireworks due to the extra work it
sometimes is, when the kids have stayed up to enjoy the much anticipated
fireworks!! But I think we can handle it this year! If you are able to allow
your child to sleep in, that would be very helpful, but if schedules don’t
allow, then let me know if your child will need some extra rest time!
So much info to pass on! Sorry this may be lengthy!
This months activity calendar is exploding with fun!
July 9th the kids may bring their bikes from home for BIKE DAY!
Scooters etc are also welcome! Helmets and other safety gear are welcome, just
be sure to label WELL!
July 13th I will need to end our day at 5pm to get to Owatonna before
the rental place closes! We have rented an 18 passenger van to take to the Mn
Lynx basketball game on Weds July 14th!
Details for this event will follow shortly! Please be ontime and thank
you for your understanding with the short notice!
Friday July 30th KidOasis will be closed as an unpaid personal day.
I noticed an error in the list of closings I passed out at the beginning of the
year. For my Aug vacation, There will not be care from Friday Aug 27th(unpaid
personal day) the following week paid vacation, Sept 6th Labor day
paid Holiday and care resuming on Tues Sept 7th. Let me know if you
will need assistance in finding back up! I have a list of wonderful providers or
teenagers!
Speaking of teenagers! I hope all of you have met Chelsea my helper/sub! Chelsea
has attended the Child care provider orientation, is approved by the Rice County
Licensor etc and is now licensed to work with me as a second provider and even
to be left alone with the kids! She does a great job with them and they enjoy
her very much! Chelsea is trained in CPR and First aid, has worked with me for a
few weeks now and feels very confident in our schedule and my strict rules! LOL
Jinah, Mariah and Victoria continue to come to
play and care for the children with me this summer also! Its so nice to have so
much help and Jinah is amazing with the kids and all of the chores of the
daycare! She is my right hand most times!
Ok onto the Lynx field trip!
All enrolled Children age 4 and older are invited to attend a special KIDS DAY
at the Target center for a Mn Lynx game and awesome entertainment! Here is a
flexible itinerary! Leave here at 830 am, arrive in Lakeville to play at NORTH
park, get all of our wiggles out! Eat our picnic lunch at the park, reload our
big ole van, arrive at Target Center for a NOON game, leave Target Center aprox
230, wake all sleeping children
riding in the van when we return here 430pm! I will have T-shirts for the kids
and bandanas! I will need you to fill out a recipe sized card with all of your
child’s info, your work info, emergency contact info and a recent picture of
your child! Place all in a ziplock bag! There is no such thing as too much
information! The kids will also be wearing name tags with my cell phone number
on it, on their backs! For your own ref, if you don’t have it already, my cell
phone number is 507 358 0507. We are so excited about the outing! All other
children will be staying back with Chelsea and I’m sure will have so much fun
having the whole daycare to themselves! She will have 5 children in her care.
I will send out a separate email to the older kids parents with a
checklist of things your child will need!
A few weeks ago I sent out an email to the mommies about our father’s day gift
donations! In which only a few have paid! The donation is $6 per child and you
may apply that to your next weeks check if you would like.
Many children are running low on sunscreen already and the extra clothes bins
are echoing!!! PLEASE stock your child with extra clothes and if any of the
daycare clothes are still sitting in your laundry room, please return them
promptly! Some ideas for what your child needs for extra’s …. 2-3 spare
underwear, pair of short, pair of long pants, t shirt or 2, socks,
sweatshirt here at all times can hang on his/her hook. (Younger children
same besides perhaps onsies)
Thank you again to Devon and Carters Dad for all of his donations of MILK MOOLA
bag tops and covers! With the money we earned, we are enjoying a new playhouse
and a huge “see saw” Joel built! Many Improvements to the backyard and
playground are coming along! Reminder we also collect aluminum cans! Keep those
donations coming!
Happy Birthday wishes go out to
Brennan this month! Also exciting 1st birthday wishes to Leo and
Gwen! We don’t have any babies
anymore! Its so much fun to watch the children grow and change!
Last but not least we extend a huge disappointing Goodbye to Jayden and family,
but hopefully only temporary as other employment options come their way! Jaydens
last day is Thursday, but we hope they will visit often and keep us up to date
on their growing family! Jayden is going to be a great big brother with all the
experience he has had with our 3 little ones here! Best wishes and they will be
missed very much!
Done at last!!! Parents with children attending the field trip, look for another
email later today!
Thank you for your time and have a wonderful relaxing month!
Our communication is the key to your child’s success! If you have any questions about your child or their care, please see me!!! I love to talk about your child!!
