DECEMBER KIDOASIS NEWSLETTER

Happy Holidays!

Thank you for taking time to read this month’s newsletter, which is filled with important reminders and great shout outs!

As the month chugs along, there are many dates to note, so I will attempt to go in order! Some items require the attention of everyone, some just the preschool families. (you have your activity calendars with all of this information on it, so PLEASE utilize it! Last month’s participation was pretty sad to say the least! Please recognize that I put a lot of time and effort into creating a fun and organized activity calendar for your child to participate in our daily themes.

I am excited to offer my annual PARENTS NIGHT OUT on Friday Dec 9th! An email went out last week with those details, please let me know if you need the information resent! Daycare will be closing at 5pm and reopening at 6pm. Supper will be served as they arrive and the rest of the evening will be packed full of games, laughter and fun! At 9pm our Movie Theater and snack begin and pick up time is NO LATER than 10pm. Refer to the email regarding late fees this night! Children ages 4 and older are also invited to spend the night!! If you think your child will be uneasy spending the entire night, please consider the 10pm pick up as middle of the night pick up is not an option! Children may wear their PJ’s and overnighters will need a sleeping bag and small pillow unless they have nap time supplies here! Please limit the amount of items they bring due to the difficulty in keeping everyone’s things together! Questions or comments on our evening, please don’t hesitate to ask!  I offer this night as a gift to all of you for being such amazing families and allowing me to be a part of your child’s life! They all amaze me every day!

Jumping to Dec 23rd, KidOasis will be hosting a festive Christmas party for the kids and any parents that would like to join us! We have some singing, dancing, crafts, games and gift giving planned!  I thought the kids would love it if we had a small gift exchange  at our party also! Each child can bring an inexpensive ($2-$3) toy, OR wrap un unwanted gently used toy from home are also a great idea! Please keep gifts gender neutral and age appropriate! The kids are very excited the concept of Giving!!!

Friday Dec 23rd KidOasis will be closed as a Paid Holiday, Monday December 26th there will also not be care provided and will be taken as another paid Holiday. Friday Dec 30th I will also be closed as an Unpaid Personal Day. Care will resume Monday Jan 2nd!

This month look for my updated Calendar of Closings for 2012, listing all of the days I know I will be closed and if they are paid or unpaid days. Being a family of 6, having the last Friday of the month off for any appts that may come up, really diminishes those extra unplanned days I would need! If anyone needs to set up a back up provider for those days, I can recommend a few!

There is no school the week between Xmas and New years, so please let me know if your school ager will be attending those days! Also to all families, please let me know any changes to y our child’s schedule over the holidays also, as I often get calls for drop in care!

Other dates to note are the exciting celebrations of MANY Birthdays!!

Mallory and Sammy turn 6, huh? Did that just say 6?? On Dec 3rd!

Nathan cant wait to be a big 4 year old on Dec 6th!!!

Hannah (Gwens sister) will be celebrating 7 yrs old on Dec 12th, followed by her and Gwens  brother Quintin  also turning 7, on Dec 27th.

I still remember the day I received the email that Jacob was born! That was a WHOPPING 7 years ago also!!! My, does time fly! Huge bday wishes to all of our great friends!!! I hope to make your special day Memorable!!

Other recognition I would like to extend is to my helpers! Some of you see them only briefly, if at all! But to the kids they are a huge part of their day! Kaycee is working daily now and we love when she walks in the door! She is a confident, fun, wonderful helper and has taught the kids some hilarious dances! She’s so reliable and works very hard! We have a lot of fun together with the kids each day!

More of you probably see Jinah at pick up time as she works after school! Jinah has worked for me for over 3 years and shes amazing! Like a part of our family and loves all of your children so much! We will miss her when she leaves for college next year!

Tiffany was brought on board this fall and is a blast! The kids love her so much (prob because she’s more their size! Haha! Sorry Tiffany I couldn’t resist! )  I hope to keep Tiffany around for many years to come as shes a hard worker and has a magical way with kids!

Alex is in and out the door the past few months!!! We welcome him to work any chance we can steal him up!  So far it’s just one day a week since he also works at Papa Murphy’s, but we make the most of that time with him!

Please be sure to extend a Thank you for their part they play in your child’s care here at Daycare when you see them! They deserve it!

Thank you to those that placed book orders for us! We received many bonus points towards free books!!!!

Thank you for your time and for those attending the parents night out; please refer back to my previous email regarding any details!

Have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!!
